We highly recommend Cicada Market at the weekends, where you can find everything from clothes, handicrafts and street food to amazing local works of art. You can even have your own portrait painted. Be sure to pick up some colourful gifts for your friends and loved ones back home.
For a change of pace, one hour away is Hua Hin Hills Vineyard, home to the award-winning Monsoon Valley label and other new latitude wines. Spend half a day here and indulge in the wine-tasting and dining opportunities at this 560-acre estate.
You’ll be pleased to know that Hua Hin Airport is just 12 kilometres away, taking some of the sting out of saying goodbye.
